Trip to Bora

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

It has only been one month and 13 days since archie and i left Bora but it seems years already.

It’s 9:21 pm gva time. I wanted to work but I guess my energy level cannot sustain it anymore so I decided to watch episodes of Sana maulit mulit via the internet and update my blog.

We left Manila via PAL at past 10:00 am and arrived Kalibo airport an hour after. If you are planning to go to Boracay I highly recommend to take a Palakbayan package, they will take care of you the minute you land the airport.

We were so excited, it’s not our first out of town trip together but archie’s first time on the plane. I was very excited for this event. We didn’t made any plans of what to do or where to go, we just basically want to enjoy each other’s company.

The minute the plane started to move, I hold archie’s hand. I can’t explain the feeling na finally we are together on this trip.

The trip was fun, we took nice photos inside the plane, the clouds and especially when we landed. Trip from airport to the resort is longer than the flight itself but it was okay, we are in the mood to have fun anyway so nothing can change that.

We arrived on our hotel and it wasn’t very fancy but Escondido beach resort is a very nice and clean resort plus their staff are so great though it’s not beach front.

The minute we freshen up we headed for the restaurant, we are starting. Nice food, nice weather and great view! We are on a good start. We just roam around the beach that afternoon then head back to the hotel and had a nice nap.

At sunset we headed back to the shore to enjoy the view and to buy some accessories for me =). Looked for a nice restaurant and eat our heart out then we look for a place to hang out and have some drinks. Nothing exciting on the first day but it was just nice to hold hands while walking at the shore.. i can’t believe that finally i’m holding hands again with archie…

2nd day was great! we rented this parao (not sure of spelling). no engine just plain big sail. we were actually sitting on the raft or katig ba un. oh my god, it was really a great experience. it was faster than a speed boat and it was a great feeling being at peace with the sea.

package for the day is island hopping, we rented snorkeling gears, picnic at one of the islands and roaming around via the parao. it was an experience of a lifetime. it was good that we were just two because parao cannot take more than 3 or 4.

We snorkle on one of the islands that they brought us. At first  i was so hesitant, i am very much afraid to take a deep on the water and to trust my gears but it was nice and great view down there. we enjoyed our own shore while navigating the place using our snorkeling gear. Then it was time for lunch. Menu was barbeque liempo, barbeque fish, mangga and i can’t remember what else and the meal was so good! it was so hard to move after hehehhehhehee.

enjoyed a few more minutes snorkeling then we headed for another island. the sea was quite tough that afternoon, i was a little scared already because the guys that were manning the parao was like kevin costner on one of his movies that they move the boat from here to there. the sea was so tough we decided to go to a calmer island and do more snorkeling. it was fun and tiring day and we were so tan after that.

but the best thing about that day is I had a great massage in our room. Sweddish massage was so great I dozed off while i’m having it! I had it again the next day hehehehehehe.

more to come for the 3rd and 4th day in boracay…

friday night

Friday, February 16th, 2007

It’s 7:58 pm now, I was supposed to go out with some friends to the movies but it didn’t push through and instead I watched episodes of sana maulit muli via the internet.

i was looking forward to go home tonight: do my laundry, have a nice meal and dvd marathon of CSI Las Vegas but all of a sudden I wasn’t very keen to go home. Feeling homesick again I guess.

Amount of work so far has been successfully diverting my attention to work and loneliness as eluded me for a while but I guess we can never really run away to what we feel. I’m going to work tomorrow, need to prepare for deadline and need to brush away this feeling of emptiness and loneliness again.

There’s really no rush to go home tonight, nobody is waiting anyway just my dirty laundry. i miss home, i will always home and i miss you… back to sana maulit muli…

I know a lot of my friends will not be able to make it on the house blessing because of it’s schedule but I really want to do it on that day. Basically it was only a gathering of family members and it was more than enough to make the event complete.

The house is not yet fully paid, we are only starting to pay for it but I’m just very happy that we are actually starting to pay for it. With God’s help we will be able to finish paying the whole amount in 1.2 years.

When the priest told us to gather outside the front door where the house blessing will start, I was already teary eyed. It was never in my wildest dream that it will actually happen but it did and it’s because of HIM.

A thank you prayer ….

Thank you po Lord.
